I am hoping my first time is coming soon but I don't know if it is something we should talk about or let it happen spontaneously. How did it work for you and do you wish that you did it differently? Should I try and make it work, even though he's moving states away?

My best friend's little brother and I have always been friends, but recently I've started to think more of him. I know for a fact that he likes me. He is so adorable, and sweet and funny. His family is amazing. I would really like to try and spend more time with him. But, he and his family are moving states away from me in two weeks. He is also a year and a half younger than me. Sometimes i get so overwhelmed by certain emotions that i go into this weird freak out session and i don't know what it is. its only happened a couple of times, the first time was after i found out i had to do a ten minute presentation. i went home and i had started shaking and crying, and then my heart started beating really fast and i felt like i couldn't breathe. i didn't know what to do and i couldn't put anything into perspective i just felt like there was no hope and i was very scared. i just end up siting on the ground freaking out untill i feel better, which is usually like 10ish minutes later. then sometimes i get so angry that i lose control like that and i feel like there's just no hope at all, and i end up doing the same thing with the same symptioms i explained above. it happened again yesterday because i was upset about something and i started shaking and crying and i felt like i couldn't breathe and my heart was beating fast, all that. it also starts to happen sometimes when i feel like i cant breathe because i have asthma and it freaks me out. so are these panic attacks or am i just really upset?

My horse plays with his bit...?

My TB is currently in a D-ring snaffle bit. He loves to play with his bit..He mostly just chomps on it, nothing real serious. He has done it his whole life (hes only 6) even on a loose rein he does it. I can ride around on the buckle and he's just chomping away. He doesn't throw his head about or anything like that but its kinda embarrassing in the show ring. All you hear is my horse chewing on his bit, haha! It doesn't cause any problems whatsoever and he has his teeth checked regularly. I was wondering what causes this and what I could do to fix it? Is it true that copper bits taste sweet to horses? and if I got a D-ring snaffle with rollers would it help? Thanks!

What bit should I be using on my horse?

I have a WB x Welsh jumper pony. He goes fine at the walk and trot on the flat in a simple rubber racing Dee ring snaffle, I can even canter him on the flat in that most of the time. But once he starts jumping, he gets REALLY excited and takes off after the fences, I know this problem isn't all in fault of the bit, but he is used to having a close contact and tight rein so when I pull asking him to stop it doesn't do much, he runs through the bit. I am doing exercises to slow him down without changing his bit, (trotting fences and halting after) but he does just take the bit and run, so I am looking to put him in something a little (or a lot) harsher so I can regain control after the fence quicker, he is fine with single fences, but I need to have him collected enough to do a whole course, and with him taking off after the jumps I am having a hard time. I was thinking about a Kimberwicke or a Pelham, ( he used to be ridden in a pelham) please don't give me advice on how to slow him down, just on what bit would be a good decision for me. Thanks

if she continues it i would say get a stronger bit thats wat i had to do with one of mine. made her easier to controll, but u are also just going to need to work with her on it. make sure u have hear attention 100% of the time. so instead of always riding all the way around the arena change direction a lot do circles every now and then and just change it up so she is focusing on u.

First fall off my horse question?

I had my second riding lesson on my horse yesterday. He is stiff on his left rein. I am novice because I had a huge confidence knock a while back whilst I had this horse on loan and I basically needed to be taught to ride again. This horse gave me so much confidence! Even though he is very cheeky. So, what we were doing is trotting down once side of the menage then catering up the other side. He used to be extremely overweight but now that he has lost most of it he is becoming very strong. He would be a bit cheeky and try to canter all the way around the school. I managed to make him trot on the left side though. When we changed the rein he trots around on the rein perfectly but is always on the wrong lead in canter. I managed to get him into the right lead and we had a great canter on that rein until it got to where we trot. He bolted around the menage and then he turned a really sharp corner and then just stopped and threw his shoulder to the side. I landed on my head and shoulder quiet hard. I really don't understand though? My shoulder doesn't hurt one tiny bit! My neck it a bit stiff today though. I have a HUGE bruise on my knee and my ankle hurts SO much I can't put any weight on it! I have hurt my ankle before but never so much I can't walk on it. But how did it happen? I landed on my head and shoulder, not my ankle? It's kinda weird. And what should I do about my ankle. If it help he is a 15hh cob so It wasn't a very big fall. This was only my second fall ever and my first fall off him. But I DID get back on and had a nice trot around, not very well though because my ankle hurt. I know it is a stupid question, but how did I hurt my ankle?

get him in a lope hold the reins ferm but don't yank back just firmly hold them back a little and keep your legs squeezed in and keep him going at a lope. My horse won't bend to the left?

I have a 13 year old appendix mare and I always have a really hard time getting her to bend to the left. she will only do it if I put an enormous amount of pressure on my inside leg and really pull on the inside rein, but when i do this she'll come off the rail and I have to use my outside rein to get her back on the rail. I asked my trainer about this and she told me I also had to keep contact with my outside rein to keep her from coming of the rail. I did this and its been helping, but the real problem is her just not bending to the left and It's exsahsting having to constantly push with my inside leg all the time just to get a that left bend, espescially at the canter where its the worst please help me :(

How do you get a horse to stand still?

i'm riding this horse who is green and i guess she never learned to stand still but when i have her all tacked up and enter the arena and stop in the middle to put down my stirrups she just trys to walk off and since i'm holding on the reins trying to halt her she just walks around me cause thats the only place she can go. another example is when i have her on a halter and lead rope and halt her at the cross ties she tries to keep going but since i'm standing still trying to halt her she walks around me and we have to do circles until she finaly stands straight. i'm sorry if im not clear in my description i'll edit if you don't undersstand

Use a martingale, wilkie bit will help as it works from the pole. Make sure you have good contact with your horses mouth and use you legs to push it into the bridle. Do lots of circle, serpentines, leg yield to get the listening to you. If none of this works try side reins or draw reins

So we're completely re-starting my mare from the ground up.. To work on her head set and no tossing her head, my trainer put her in a simple snaffle, took long cotton split reins, crossed them and put them through/under her legs, then brought them up and tied them on her back to lunge her. It was relatively loose, so when she hit the end, she would lower her head and leave slack in the reins.. It seemed to work, what does everyone think? Is there a more effective way, do you think it's a bad technique?...

I think that if your willing to experiment a bit, go for it! If you can, the day before the show go to the barn where the show is going to be and ride him in the ring/arena that they have there and ride with some other people. The only way you can really find out how he will behave is to play with it a little bit! Also, if he prefers trail rides so much he hopefully will be fine adapting to a new environment on the day of the show. I'm such a lazy person. Yesterday the only way I could get up and get anything done was if I pretended I was on an MTV Made episode. A life coach/fitness trainer was the one telling me everything to get done and how to do it. It was cool, but weird because it was almost like I saw things from a different perspective, which helped. I sometimes help out at my local stables and i am asked to lead ponies in the lead rein lessons. but when i ask the pony to trot, i find that it will just speed off (any pony) and i get left behind or the pony will pull to go faster. i have tried running faster and pulling back harder but these just in courage the pony to trot faster. i don't really feel in control. do you have any tips for leading a pony? thanks

sorry, i do not know your area but i could give you tips on how to find a trainer! sometimes, you may think there is only a few coaches in your area but really, there are tons you just dont know about! do your research, look in newspapers, online, call people you know or ask the coach at the crappy barn if she knows of any other trainer. are the competitions in your area? go to a show jumping competition and scope out the trainers. Ask for EVERYONES phone number, because the more the merrier! The key to getting started in the sport is just getting a good trainer with a lot of connections because he/she will take care of you and help you excel!

Why is my horse refusing to turn left?

Basically when I try to turn Rio left he won't turn unless I really pull him to the left. He isn't doing this so much when I want him to go right, it's just left. And when I do pull him he stops first every time like he thinks i'm pulling back on the reins and telling him to stop. I ride western and I am currently using a tomb thumb snaffle on him. Also, I always try to have a light hand with him but since he's been doing this when I do he won't turn. The problem could be me but I'm not sure. So why could he be doing this?

Can a lien published and recorded in public records be ignored when you get an estoppel letter?

I'm located in Florida. I have a lien dated Feb 28, 2011 and recorded Mar 7, 2011 in the public records. I buy foreclosures so we base our bid upon known debts. The estoppel atttorney keeps ignoring the published lien in the official records and has now, 3 months later, tried to charge me over $8000.00 for prior HOA fees when the lien established the debt at under $6000 at the time lien was placed on property. Can a HOA attorney just ignore the lien and arbitrarily establish a new amount although the lien, including attorney fees, late charges and interest was already established and placed into the public records. Three months after lien was placed in official records the estoppel letter ignores the lien and has increased from $5777.90 to over $12,000.00. 1. What recourse can anyone recommend to stop this abuse of the system???? This is a constant battle with HOA attornies over the last 10 years. 2. What is a reasonable attorney fee for processing estoppel letters and filing liens? 3. Sounds like a class action suit in the making for some attorney because it is wide spread problem that needs to be reined in by the BAR Association or the law changed to specifically identify what can and can't be charged to a buyer who purchases property with HOA Liens. Stifle Problems, Your opinions.?

I have had my 7 year old mare Since late january, She was trained 2 years of cutting training before her first owners sold her. She then went to a guy who was very interested in cutting and needed a horse to move up a level on so he bought her cause of her fantastic bloodlines. He said that she wasn'tt a high enough cutter for his level. So i bought her cause of her great reining potiential and amazing disposition. Im a 14 year old girl and she is my second horse. A few monthhavinghaveing her her stifle gave out. We have now had it buted TWICE and we think it's getting worse. I would like to know the opinions on the stifle surgery where they go in and clip a ligament around the stifle? I have heard very good and very bad from people who i personally know that have had there own experience. Has anyone had it done before? We have put so much money into her and she is the hardest worker, she would do anything to please and i would just hate to see anything bad happen to her. After the surgery would i be able to do reining or any serious events or would i need to look into another horse? I would love to have you opinions especially if you have had experience with this!

What is the difference between a low-ported curb bit and a wide-ported curb bit?

Ok, so there are a few differences that i see in these. The first is on the wide ports the middle arch is wider and lower than the low ports. The low ports are way higher in the middle. Also, you can see in each of these pictures, when you clip the reigns on, they are each going to have a different pull on the horse's mouth. The first (the low port) is just going to rock back and forth in the horse's mouth. The second one (the first wide port) Is going to have a little bit more affect on the sides of the mouth. And the last one, well it seems the harsher of the three. It has a place for a curb strap to go, and the way that its angled, if you want the curb strap to say something instead of just sit there like they do on some bits.... it will! Also it will give you more control than the others. If your looking for something to just switch into for a little while to give your horse the experience, i would use either the first one (the low port) or the second (the first wide port). Like I said they are less harsh and would give your horse the experience you want it to get! Hope I could help! =D Good luck with the bit shopping!

Here's the situation: GF asked me if she could go to a concert... well the concert is in another state, she would be gone for 3 days, and she would be going with a guy she used to see before. How to slow down my horse?

The best way to get her to respond is not by pulling on the reins but in your seat and through half halts. You said you are making to keep your leg off of her which is good but could also be resulting in you relaxing to the point of your leg aids being useless. Squeeze with your knees to bring her shoulder blades together and force her to slow down. Also, just try to tire her out. She wants to go faster, right? So let her. Canter her (assuming she is in good shape) for a while until she is tired enough that she wants to slow down to the trot. The first couple of times she does, let her but if she gets speedy then push her back up to canter again. This will take the "fun" out of going faster. Eventually she will just learn to keep a good pace the first time.

It's about a guy. I really like him. My crush on him is quite intense. When I first saw him I liked him and flirted with him but I never felt he would go for me. Would you like to read a book like this?

I read a book a couple of years ago - - - so many that I can't remember which - - - that had two chapters for each "event", one from one character's point of view followed by the other character's point of view. Sometimes one or the other of them weren't "on scene", and it would be the character's reaction to the gossip or news about the event. It was annoying at first. But when I realized the author was doing, it was quite interesting. No one responds the same way. So yes, I like that sort of thing.

My horse bucks when in the school?

My horse is a 17 year old ex race horse that was mistreated. I first knew him when i started to learn to ride at a local riding school. I learnt most things on him. The owner moved yards and i didnt see him for around 5 years untill i bought him off his old owner. I knew he could buck. However, he never bucked like he does now. When ever im in the school he chucks in a massive buck and always gets me off. He done this once and i broke my collar bone causing me to have a metal plate put in. I have had his back checked, teeth etc. I thought maybe it was down to when he was in the riding school and that he do not like being schooled. I was advised just to walk him around doing lots of circles changes of reins etc. I would really appreciate any advice and help anyone could give me. Thanks.

Why does my mare throw her head and Crow Hop!?

My mare is VERY hot! She is in love with speed! But... when I dont let her gallop (if I hold her in a lope/canter) she crow hops and throws her head!! She went to a bad trainer and started throwing her head, so we pulled her out and I had to start fresh. She had professional training for reining for 30 days when she was real young. She knows some leg cues. She never even started crow hopping until this spring!! She is 9, and I have started her on barrels and gaming, she turns good but tries to swing out wide coming back so I go to correct her and slow her down but then she rears and crow hops! I don't know what to do so please WHY does my mare Crow hop & throw her head!??

My horse won't bend to the left?

I have a 13 year old appendix mare and I always have a really hard time getting her to bend to the left. she will only do it if I put an enormous amount of pressure on my inside leg and really pull on the inside rein, but when i do this she'll come off the rail and I have to use my outside rein to get her back on the rail. I asked my trainer about this and she told me I also had to keep contact with my outside rein to keep her from coming of the rail. I did this and its been helping, but the real problem is her just not bending to the left and It's exsahsting having to constantly push with my inside leg all the time just to get a that left bend, espescially at the canter where its the worst please help me :(

The Tortilla Curtain, by T.C. Boyle. It shows the true dichotomy between the lives of illegal immigrants and white americans. I've always loved Mexican food and culture, but this book made me cry, and showed me how much the "illegals" suffer for their chance at a normal life. Most of those people just want a house and food on the table, but hardly any get what they deserve. This book changed the way I perceived the border issues, racism, and life in general. Albeit, my life is shitty sometimes; but it could be much worse.

Horse paws while standing still when riding?

So, I have a 4 year old gelding who started this today. He tends to paw when he gets bored but typically it's during baths or if he's tied up. He's gotten better on the ground because I've made him stop. But today, after warming up at the walk, I asked him to whoa and stand still because it's something he doesn't like to do. 3 seconds after I stopped him, he started pawing out. I pulled back on the rein and squeezed him with the leg on that side while telling him to quit. He stopped but I don't know if this was the right correction. What should I do to get him to stop pawing, in case he does it again?

My feeling is this. The West goes about arming regimes because 'it is good for business' in our own countries. And then God forbid, they damn well start using them against their own citizens. Well we can't have that can we? So in goes NATO to try to make the point that this is not acceptable. The reason that Mubarak was left alone and to some extent Syria is that they didn't make the mistake of Gadaffi. Namely that he explicitly stated he was going to go after his rebels with all his western supplied military might. A red rag to a bull. Assad and Mubarak at least made the pretence of offering reform first. This doesn't make them any better, particularly Assad. And the UN resolutions condemning Assad reflect that. But the idea that the Libyan rebels are getting help solely because Libya has oil is to me just a coincidence. Gadaffi was stupid and he is now paying the price. He's been indicted by the ICC as a result whereas the likes of Mubarak face prosecution in their own countries. I actually abhor what NATO is doing to Libya, because in the end there will just be a pile of rubble where Libya once stood. And that is not good for the suffering population of Libya whichever side they are on. That is the futility of air strikes. You go in, bomb like mad and then expect whoever takes over to somehow pick up the pieces. Its blunt, it's brutal, but people like Gadaffi bring it on themselves at the end of the day.

To be honest your body will react from that differenty, but im positive that once you get on that horse it may take a few days but ull get back to were you were very fast i was off a horse for a few years jumped back on and in a few days i was like a pro again. Ex Racehorse Thoroughbred Mare?

i retrain a few of our race horses before i sell them as hacks. Usually i start out with ground manners. Some of them lack this. Try taking her out and leading her around. A big thing with themis that they are used to routine. So i just take them in hand for a few sessions to graze and walk calmly with me ect. Then do some trail rides where you go nothing faster than a trot. A lot a people think ex racers are crazy (ok some are) but mostly i would classify them as reactive. They have been taught their whole lives to react very quickly. You say she rushes. Thats normal. To her its not rushing but to you it is. You have to try exercises that teach her that she is not going to "work" you are not going to ask her to gallop ect... Ride on longer reigns and keep your hands down then slowly adjust to ur style of riding. The circles thing doesnt always work immediately as she may find it confusing and get a bit nervous. Try to approach her training from her mental viewpoint. Schooling is a whole new thing for her. You will have to introduce leg aids slowly as she might over react to that as well. The quickest way i calm down our horses is by taking them out of stables and keeping them in a pasture for the whole day and sometimes night. I will leave them in a paddock to rest for about a week and then start schooling. Riding without stirrups?

I'm not exactly sure how this is happening. I do the exact same thing and my reins never get caught in my stirrups. Are you tucking the loop left over underneath the rein between your hand and the bit (sorry i can't think of a better way to say that right now)? The only other thing I can think of is to just take the stirrups off for those ten minutes. It actually makes a big difference (the buckle and stirrups is in your way a lot more than you think) but it is a pain to take them off and put them on....

Why is my horse sometimes grumpy?

I loan a 19 year old thoroughbred. he is a lovely behaving horse, 16.2hh in height and not a bad bone in his body. i ride on him sometimes, just trotting and walking and schooling him in the field doing circles and changing reins. i groom him at least five times per week and tie him up on the other side of the fence from his two field mates, both males, one 15hh and one 16.3hh. the three horses have rivalry to see who's boss. my horse usually just amuses himself with crib biting on the fence, but recently he's been putting his ears back and jumping to bite on one of the horses who are tied up opposite to him. he lets me pick his feet out, groom etc, but he keeps turning his head quickly with his ears right back, as if he is not happy with me brushing him. he keeps biting the other horse and stomping his feet. why is this? just to note, we missed out a few days of grooming as we were busy, three days at the most, but this shouldn't have an affect on whether he likes to be groomed. usually he loves having a pamper, and still lets me lead him in and out of the field and is mostly well-behaved, but just occasionally a little grumpy. can you help? thanks.

Horses that are used to doing only one thing with a certain person tend to not like doing other things, It could take time and if as you've said he is being fine with your friend it will just be to the point of having to work with him until he starts listening, maybe when jumping try putting a jump up but only go over every couple of laps.. after awhile just slowly work him off of jumping it and make your circles bigger. It's healthy for a horse to have change in their routine cause they can become bored, or will refuse to do other things.

My Horse wont stop taking off and bucking me off?

I have a 17.2 7 year old chestnut thoroughbred gelding who recently has started taking off with me then bucking me off. It all started 2 months ago when i was hacking him out on the road and a boy racer came up behind me, revved his engine, which spooked my horse and he took off with me on the main road. Ever since then he has been spooking at everything and seems as though it is running away from it and bucking me off. I have been walking him in hand up and down the road and putting obstacles up in the field to try and re build his confidence but nothing seems to be working also i have gone back to basic training on the lunge and long reining and he shows an improvment then once he is tacked up the same thing happens again. Any suggestions as to what i can do???

The pony I lease usually likes to kind of verge into the inside of the ring, but I can usually handle it just by using my inside leg, outside rein and he'll stay on the rail. But the past 2 times I've ridden him, for some reason he's been worse about it. He'll try to get to the inside and I do everything I can to keep him on the rail, ex. inside leg, outside rein, but instead of listening to me and staying on the rail he fights me instead, throws his head up, and refuses to get on the rail. I think your reading into it wrong! The fitness part is important (P.T.) physical training helps you mentally and physically tobe a better soldier and be mission capable, and sports helps you stay fit and active. The Army will not just focus on soccer , there's plenty of army stuff to train on, marching (drill and ceremony) facing movements, army common task exp. 1st aid, map reading,survival skills ect. The attitude you have going into this will determine if it's a good or bad 3 weeks, stay positive this is a good choice for the future!

Do me and my horse have a good bond? If not, how can I make it better?

I've been riding my horse, Savvy, for a little over three years, and I want to know if we have a good bond. Once I left her in the coral as I left to get something, and she followed me to the gate and waited for me as I returned. She had her ears forward, and she listens to me pretty well when I ride her. See when she was trained the person who trained her knocked her unconscious by pulling the reins back to hard, and she fell backwards and banged her head on the wall. For the first year I rode her, I was basically retraining her to be not spooky and confident. We have made a lot of progress, she can lead on trails, but she doesn't listen to me too well when we ride alone (although the stable I ride at we have always had many people in one class, so maybe she's just not use to it?) When I ask for her canter, sometimes she puts her ears back and will do a mini-buck or a kick. And sometimes when I ask her to even trot she will put her ears back. It really upsets me that she does this, I want her to enjoy the ride as much as I do. Whenever I walk by her stall she will put her head up and her ears forward, but sometimes I think she is just doing that cause she wonders if I have a treat (after riding I always give her a treat). I have had a hard time getting her canter even, the only time it seems like she will lope for me without a problem is when we play games like Texas Barrels, so I don't know if she wants to lope for fun, or if it's cause I'm asking her to. Please help, I really would appreciate tips and I love her so much, when I buy her I want her to love me with all her heart, like I do to her.

No control over my horse when jumping!?

I am getting a little sick of some of the stunts my horse pulls. He is fantastic with the flatwork, but as soon as we start jumping he completely loses his mind and runs away as if something is charging after him. I've got zero control as he runs flat out. I turn him in smaller and smaller circles until he stops. It isn't a training issue - we've been jumping for a while, though not higher than 80cm. It is my fault though, because before a jump I get tense and he rushes into it and runs away with me after. When I circle and stay calm, he goes into the jump beautifully, but still runs away with me after, even when we do little jumps. I have also tried turning him into the fence, halting and then reining back, but as soon as we try jumping again, he loses the plot again. I am terrified of him at the moment, even though he is the sweetest thing doing flatwork. I am jumping him in a Waterford bit. My instructor got on once, but he doesn't do anything remotely as silly, so it must be me. I try to stay calm, but in the end I feel like bursting into tears. Please, no stupid or rude answers like stop jumping. I do enjoy it when he is sane, (which sometimes happens) but at the moment I am frustrated and scared. Help?

How do you pray for an Atheist or nonbelivers?

I'm a Christian and a lot of people in my family and most of my friends are atheists. I'm asking this from a Christian perspective, how do you pray for atheists? I find myself having an extremely hard time praying for them because I have so much anger against them, which makes me angry at myself. It causes a lot of guilt and shame because I know that I should be showing Christ's love to everyone, but I'm not stepping up to the plate and am doing a horrible job of loving my enemy. I think he misses you and I definatly believe that he's afraid to admit his feelings for you, I don't know why guys are like that such a closed book it's really a shame because you can never feel or tell what they're thinking. Why does my horse buck?

My horse is a 8year old warmblood but when you ask for canter he gets faster in trot and then bucks. Although when a horse is next to him and canters first he will canter straight away. Its just when you put him infront or canter on your own he will buck when asked for canter. He also bucks when asking for canter on the lunge rein and then just canters. We have had hes back checked and it was fine.

Damon braces vs traditional braces?

I'm supposed to be getting braces soon and I need to decide between two orthodontists, both offering around the same price. The first orthodontist insisted on getting Damon braces, which are supposedly faster, smaller, and more comfortable. They said it should only take up to 18 months and I shouldn't need to extract any teeth. The second orthodontist only used traditional braces and said it should take about 2 1/2 years, with the extraction of 4 teeth (to fix my chin). Generally the treatments were mostly the same (fix cross-bite, fix crowding, align teeth, etc...), except for the extractions. They definitely had their different perspectives and methods of diagnosis. And honestly, the second orthodontist actually charged slightly more than the first. So can anyone help me decide which one is better? Thanks!

Try making sure he's collected when you go into the canter, I had this same problem a while ago. Talking in a calm voice helps, and try turning him in a full circle when you get to the corner of your arena, that helped me alot. I know clinton anderson says to just keep cantering them, becuse eventually He'll get tired ;)

Betta fish is pale and unresponsive?

Brought him home about a month ago, first time with a Betta fish, or any fish for that matter. He was sick about 2 weeks ago because I was using tap water, I quickly went out and bought a water conditioner, but now he's having similar non-responsive symptoms; he is lying on the bottom of the tank, rarely being active and only going up for air, he is not eating, just spitting the pellets out, and this is what worries me most...he's very pale. He's usually a dark purple and light pink body but now hes almost orange and the purple is looking translucent. I did a water change today, and i'm going to fast him tomorrow and maybe the next day to make sure it's not constipation or swim bladder. (he's not swimming sideways yet..) I don't have a heater because our house is quite warm, but i've been doing water cycling today (taking out 2 cups of the water and replacing it with new hot conditioned water to raise the temperature a bit) The warm water seemed to help his activity but it does not explain the paleness and the lack of eating.. Can anyone throw perspective to this? (also his gills seem slightly swollen from the last ammonia shock...I really am trying to take good care of this fish.. I just need a little help getting started guys.. I love my fish. His name is Alby, (Albus actually but I prefer his nickname Alby) Help me keep my fish healthy?

What disorder if any does this sound like to you?

He's very rigid, things must be his way, his plans. He can be very self-centered, cold, stiff. He looks down upon people of service (waiters, etc.). He shows no signs of gratitude. He expects people to do things for him. He doesn't smile much. He's overly sensitive, the slightest criticism really gets him over the edge. He has explosive anger issues over things that shouldn't anger him to such a degree. He gets really mad suddenly at the slightest thing and cuts that person off completely. He holds onto anger and resentment for a very long time. He sometimes exaggerates or distorts things negatively. He lacks empathy. He has these grandiose ideas that never get off the ground, and he goes from one to the next. He has no real hobbies. He tends to isolate himself but blames others for everything. He jumps from one way of seeing things (an emotion/perspective) to another in a short time, kind of like mood swings? He has some physical ailments resulting from the held tension/anger. Is this NPD? Or another disorder, or what do you think it is?

Yeah... I think he's definately using you as a back up. If things don't work out with him and the new guy, then he's got you. That's totally his mindset. Will my face swell up or not?

My pony reared with me today and as I had no stirrups or reins, I was thrown forward and whacked the right hand side of my face on his neck but then my thoughts went a little. When he came back down I had a small nosebleed and my face has split a little just below my eye, and bruised along my cheekbone and it seemed to be huge, but when I got home it hadn't got that big. My parents are driving me nuts!! HELP!!?

i am going to go to college soon and my parents still are holding the reins too tight. I feel like they are going to control me my whole life and i do not know what to do about it. if i go to a friends house to much they yell at me or if i have people over they yell at me while my little brother has his friends over every day all the time. my mom saw i was looking for a tattoo online and basically yelled at me saying i need to talk to her before i get it. i am 18 now and am so frustrated that i feel like running away sometimes. i don't talk to this about anyone except my sister because she knows how i feel. my mom doesnt let me do anything and it really bothers me. she is not going to be there when i go to college so i think she should let me go already. she is causing me to rebel. what to do. i honestly cant handle this anymore. this is seriously stressing me out i dont sleep or eat anymore. i am an indian girl and used to be fun and healthy looking. i used to weigh 112 but this stress has made me loose weight and now i am at 101. my parents dont think its a big deal but i have no idea what to do. for sleeping i tried everything i could do but nothing helps. i really need help it would be greatly appreciated.

Horse is started to get irritated while riding?

I know what you're going thru, my 4 year old paint acts like that at times. Definitely go back to groundwork, the stubbornness can either be from not understanding your cues or she doesn't respect you and is being lazy. Try the lunging, then go back to riding and try again. If she still resists, try going back to something else she knows and work with that for a while. Also remember that horses have their bad days, so she just might be having hers. Or it might just be a mare thing.
